Foster the City inspires and equips churches to provide safe and loving homes for children in foster care.

Foster the City works to inspire and equip churches to raise up at least one Foster Family with four Support Friends until there are more than enough families to meet the need. 

Yes. We are a non-denominational, Christian movement.

We are not financially funded by any government agency. Our work is funded solely through the private donations of those who believe in the vision and mission of Foster the City.

The easiest way to make a tax-deductible contribution to Foster the City is through our secure Giving Portal.

No. We are not a licensed foster or adoption agency. We work in relationship with many Child Welfare Agencies and Foster Family Agencies that provide the approval and placements.

No. However, because many of our families are followers of Jesus, we ask that you are supportive of those with Christian beliefs and values.

We are so thankful for every Foster Family providing love to vulnerable children, but at this time we only have the capacity to provide Support Friends for Foster Parents who are engaged on the Foster the City path. We have several additional volunteer opportunities to contribute to the work of Foster the City. This includes providing childcare or snacks for meetings, data entry, graphic design, videography, photography, etc. If you are interested in volunteering with Foster the City, please RSVP for an upcoming Interest Meeting near you to learn more about how you can partner with us to care for vulnerable children in your community.

The Foster the City app is a custom app for the Foster the City community, including Advocates, Foster Families, and Support Friends.
